Bio
Coach Pinkston is a life-long Pittsburgh resident. He is a graduate
of Baldwin High School where he was honored to be a part of the
Hall of Fame for his athletic achievements. At Baldwin, he played on
both the offensive and defensive lines earning First Team All-Conference
and First Team All-State Honors. Coach Pinkston went on to accept a full
athletic scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh where he played on
the offensive line. During his time at Pitt, he earned First Team All-Big
East, Second Team All American Honors, Team Captain, and graduated
with an Administration of Justice Degree. After college, he entered the
NFL Draft and was selected with the 150th pick in the 5th round of
the 2011 NFL draft to the Cleveland Browns. He started all 16 games of
his rookie season at left guard. He had a successful career with the
Browns for four years before medically retiring in 2016. Coach Pinkston
has spent the last several years coaching the South Hills Chargers as
both the Offensive and Defensive Line Coach. He is the CEO of South
Pointe Construction Services, and lives in Baldwin Township with his
family, his wife Kathryn and their two children, Martha and Joseph.
