Coleman Mazur

Bio

Coach Mazur enters his fourth season with the Pittsburgh Central Catholic football program, continuing his role as the Vikings' defensive line coach. He brings more than a decade of coaching experience and a championship pedigree to the program.

A 2011 graduate of North Hills High School, Coach Mazur was a three-year letterman for the Indians before continuing his academic and athletic career at Waynesburg University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History while also becoming a three-year letterman at tight end for the Yellow Jackets football team. Following his time at Waynesburg, Coach Mazur earned a Master of Science degree in Special Education from Point Park University.

Coach Mazur began his coaching career in 2015 and has gained experience at several of Western Pennsylvania's premier football programs. From 2015 through 2020, he coached with the Pine-Richland football program, serving as the defensive line coach and special teams coordinator. He then spent the 2021 season at Deer Lakes as the defensive line and running backs coach before joining Seneca Valley in 2022 as the Raiders' defensive line coach.

Throughout his coaching career, Coach Mazur has been part of five WPIAL Championship teams and two PIAA Championship teams. In addition to football, he was also a member of a WPIAL Baseball Championship staff as an assistant coach at North Hills High School.

Coach Mazur currently works as a High School History teacher and also coaches Girls Flag Football in the North Hills School District. He resides in Ross Township with his wife, Julie, and their black Labrador Retriever, Rooney.
